Cop tasers 12-year old girl in store

12-year old girl tasered by a police officerA police officer in St. Louis, Missouri went to arrest a woman and ended up tasering her daughter, a 12-year old little girl, because he says she got physical. You know, a 12-year old girl, getting physical, I guess dangerous enough to taser. Wow. Any witnesses?

A police officer in South St. Louis County tased a 12-year-old girl during an attempt to arrest her mother, last Wednesday (July 25). The incident occurred inside a Victoria's Secret at the South County Center.

According to authorities, the mother –Charlene Bratton—had warrants stemming from traffic tickets.

Dejamon Baker, started crying when the officer instructed her mother to put her arms behind her back, to be handcuffed. "I was just crying. I guess he got mad because I was crying or something, then he just took it out and just tased me," explained the little girl. "I had fell on the floor and I couldn't control myself I just kept on shaking and stuff," she said of getting shocked with the device.

While a spokesperson for the police department said that the officer did nothing wrong since the girl got "physically involved" in the incident, Bratton shared a different perspective. "He should have had enough control to tell her to get back instead of pulling out his gun, I guess he was nervous or whatever, and tasing people," she said.
